well my poor rc-10 b4 was starting to look tired due to the condition of the body. granted i had been running on my own track and it wasn’t seeing much race time. but i had spent a lot of time on my own track. and zero traction = many many many wreaks. well here’s the new body. it has still yet to see any use. and since i will be getting back into racing now i have decided to stick with this color scheme for all of my vehicles (and site). sorry i don’t have any better photos but i will get some newer ones and put  them up soon.

Well i realized that i would never make it around a track without practice. but not being able to get to the track wasn’t helping things. so what do i do. i bring the track to me. i get out the tiller and get to work. i bought all the piping and stakes for the track. i had friends that were going to help out but  that didn’t go through. i maintained the track until the end of 07. at that point i was not able to financially keep it up. the track has since grassed over and the piping is all in storage.

the track had nearly zero traction. and it was a fast track at that.  the good news was the lack of traction forced me to learn to drive. i was able to make it out to the race track to race a second time. it had been almost a year since my prior race. with the practice i had the high traction track was a bit easier. but i was having a hard time due to the size of the track in brooks, ky. it was about half the size of the one at home and the high traction was not helping me get the car set up very quickly.  again another last place novice finish. i have gotten so bad compared to where i once was. but that will be left for another post.

i finally got around to getting my first body painted. i also had my electronics at  this point.  now was just the issue of being able to get to the track to race. since my son had just been born there wasn’t no time to be able to get out to the track. so now the problem is having a car and not able to run it. i’m still hoping to get to the track. and one day i did. first time i drove the car and there i was racing.  no i didn’t win i sucked and just seemed to be in the way. but i enjoyed myself. it would be about a year before i would be able to get back to the track.

shortly before my son was born i decided to get back into offroad r/c racing. it to a while to get the car together but it ended up being a dust collection device in the attic. but before it started to collect dust it did have a small run time. i will get to that later. but for now here are the photos from the build of my brand new rc-10 b4.
